Be a Voice for the Voiceless Pashtuns – Join the Movement Today

Who we are?

We are a peaceful, nonviolent human rights and political movement committed to defending the civil, social, and economic rights of the Pashtun Afghan people while standing in solidarity with all oppressed communities across the region.

PTM born from decades of systemic abuse, we speaks out against enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and state-backed terrorism.

Despite a government ban in 2024, we remain committed to truth, justice, and nonviolent resistance. Many of our leaders, members, and supporters have been unlawfully arrested, imprisoned without trial, detained in secret locations, and in some cases killed in custody, with their families denied even the right to mourn.

The Voiceless Afghan Pashtuns and We Stand with Afghan Women

We stand with the voiceless Afghan Pashtuns.
For decades, they have faced enforced disappearances and military violence.
Their stories are buried, their voices silenced — but we remember.
We also stand in solidarity with Afghan women.
They are denied education, freedom, and basic human rights.
Yet they continue to resist with unmatched courage.
Our movement unites both struggles into one voice for justice.
We believe in nonviolence, human dignity, and equality for all.
We demand truth, accountability, and global recognition.
Together, we rise — so that no one is left unheard.

The Pashtun Struggle in Numbers

These numbers reveal the untold suffering of Pashtuns—lives lost, homes destroyed, identities erased.
Each figure carries the weight of a struggle for justice, dignity, and the right to exist.

Truth vs. Misconception: Understanding PTM

The PTM is a peaceful human rights movement founded in 2014 by eight Pashtun students to advocate for the civil, social, and economic rights of Pashtuns in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan regions

PTM captured national attention after organizing the Pashtun Long March and sit-in in Islamabad, demanding justice for Naqeebullah Mehsud, removal of landmines, and accountability for enforced disappearances

The movement calls for a truth and reconciliation commission to investigate extrajudicial killings, the return of missing persons through legal means, de‑mining operations, and an end to military checkpoints that harass Pashtun communities

Despite its nonviolent stance, PTM has faced escalating repression: media blackouts, arrests of leaders, and in October 2024, a government ban under anti-terror laws—condemned by Amnesty International as an attack on peaceful assembly

No, PTM is a nonviolent and nonpartisan grassroots movement. It is not affiliated with any political party or armed organization. Its focus is solely on peaceful advocacy for human rights, justice, and constitutional protections for the Pashtun people.
